Fussy Nursing Baby? Breastfeeding Problem Solved!
for more baby info www.perfectcrib.com
So your gynocologist told you to feed baby 20 minutes on each side, and your pediatrician told you 10 on each side, and your grandmother told you to let the baby decide. And to top it all off, your poor baby’s tummy is hurting no matter what you’ve tried. Here is the secret every mom needs to know!
Your breasts produce fore-milk and hind-milk. The fore-milk is thin and full of lactose, while the hind-milk is thick and filling and most importantly nuetralizes the lactose. If you nurse on both sides at one feeding, your little one is getting too much lactose!! Try one side at a time and wait about a week. You will see an improvement in Baby’s tummy troubles.

Your blog is interesting!
Keep up the good work!
I totally agree. We thought it was something I was eating that was setting our 5 week old off but, it was too much foremilk. I had been told to always nurse both sides and since my milk supply was so high, she was getting WAY more foremilk and not enought of the Creamy hindmilk. She’s 7 weeks now and I now only nurse on one breast per feeding (sometimes feedings will take longer if baby is used to the milk flowing easily but be patient). She still has the occasional stomache pain but nothing like it used to be. If you find the breast you’re not nursing from is getting too engourged between feedings, try to extract some of the milk and freeze it for a time when you want to go out. We rented a pump but, you can extract it manually too, its just a bit tougher.
Good Point! Anytime you get the chance to pump–Take it!! You will have times that you wish you had frozen milk. Even if you just want to keep baby on your milk after you’ve physically weaned. You can never have too much frozen milk! Be sure to date it–it only lasts 6 months.
